My weapon, my camera

Limo on fire during the inauguration protest

Despite living less than a mile from the White House, I thought I could create a Trump-free bubble. Pretend that he didn’t exist.

This plan didn’t even last a day. As Trump spoke at the Inauguration, a helicopter noisily circled over my apartment, tracking a protest march as it cross the city.

I was drawn into the streets with my camera to document the democratic resistance in the nation’s capital.
